The 12th edition featured new features such as the Blue Economy RIO Summit auditorium, a partnership with the Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability, which brought together experts from the Blue Economy in Brazil, other countries and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Among the highlights was the presence of the Secretary of the Environment and Sustainability, Bernardo Rossi, and the Belgian economist Gunter Pauli, creator of the Blue Economy, who was the keynote speaker on the panel “Blue Economy: Opportunities and Challenges”.
