FDC establishes partnership with Green Rio/Green Latin America in the field of Bioeconomy |
FDC and Green Rio/Green Latin America sign an agreement that provides for promotion and international training actions on Bioeconomy.

Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC) and Green Rio established a partnership to organize and carry out scientific and educational seminars, in addition to FDC’s participation in the Green Rio event, which takes place from August 31 to September 2 in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
The agreement allows FDC to host online events promoted by both signatories of this agreement. During Green Rio/Green Latin America 2023, a series of international seminars entitled “Cenários do Sul Global/Global South Scenarios” will be launched, promoted by Fundação Dom Cabral, in partnership with Green Latin America. The panel with the presence of FDC at the Green Rio event, held at Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro, will have the theme “Why is Global South a strategic theme for the planet?”.
“The partnership with Green Rio/Green Latin America will allow us to get closer to companies, governments and international organizations involved in the Bioeconomy and contribute to dialogues and training”, comments the Director of Global Strategy and International Relations at FDC, Viviane Barreto.
“We are happy to find in this partnership with FDC, in addition to a synergy of values, the possibility of promoting strategic themes of sustainable development for different audiences: from Small and Medium Enterprises to regional arrangements and international cooperation” said Maria Beatriz Bley Costa, Coordinator of Green-Rio/Green Latin America.

The event consists of conferences with an arena and thematic rooms, with more than 90 lectures. In 2022, there were 93 exhibitors and 23 startups and more than 150 business meetings. This year, initiatives from Austria and France will be present, in addition to the AL Invest Verde program from the European Union.
About Green Rio/Green Latin America
Since 2012, when its first edition was recognized as a side-event at Rio+20, the Green Rio/Green Latin America event has been establishing itself as a platform for the Green Economy and Bioeconomy. This platform gathers 3 moments that interact during the event: the Fair, contemplating the space for exhibitors, the lectures of the Green Rio/Green Latin America Conference that occupy the plenary and two rooms for specific workshops, and the business meetings promoted by the organizers of the event.
