Decline in soil health as a result of agricultural intensification.
Urgent need to restore soil quality and sustainable plant production.
To uncover the etiology and causes of replanting disease for:
- Replace ecologically harmful or expensive soil disinfection treatments
- Develop strategies to maintain or restore soil health
- Provide management to overcome replanting disease
- Develop tools for communicating knowledge in formats medically applicable by agricultural decision makers and legislators
